The Wildcat boys swimming team wrapped up the conference championships on Saturday in 4th place, just behind Orono who finished third. The Wildcats had some amazing performances and saw some significant time drops in many events. The highlight of the meet was the victory in the last event of the day by the boys 400 freestyle relay team. Matthew Krogman, Sam Sinclair, Nathan Sannito, and David Sinclair were victorious and finished just in front of the team from Delano-Watertown-Mayer. David Sinclair also won the 50 and 100 freestyle and set a conference record in the 100 free. Sam Sinclair won the 100 butterfly and finished 2nd in the 200 IM. Matthew Krogman won the 500 freestyle and finished 3rd in the 200 freestyle. Other notable performances were a 4th and 6th place finish by Nathan Sannito in the 500 free and 200 IM, 5th and 7th place finishes by Nolan Elg in the 100 breastroke and 200 IM, and 7th place finish by Alex Kearney in the 100 backstroke. In the 200 medley relay, the team of D Sinclair, Elg, S Sinclair, and Carson Roehl finished third and the team of Kearney, Jack Hackler, Nolan Sannito, and Dylan Gaspard finished 8th. The 200 free relay team of Krogman, Nathan Sannito, Elg, and Roehl finished 6th.
