Girls Basketball Team to STATE!

The Wildcat Girls Basketball team makes history by winning the 2020 Section 2AAA Championship game and advancing to STATE for the first time in school history!!! Congratulations to the entire Waconia Girls Basketball program on achieving this milestone!  The Wildcats road to state was not an easy feat in Section 2AAA. 5th in STATE!

Congratulations to the Waconia Wildcat Wrestling Team on their 5th place finish in the Class AAA State Championships! The Wildcats defeated Forest Lake 36-28 to take home the Consolation Championship in their first Class AAA state tournament appearance! Fantastic Season WILDCATS!    


Congratulations to Senior Bennett Weber on his Class AAA STATE Championship Title in the #285 weight class! Bennett earned the State title by defeating a previously undefeated Senior from Coon Rapids, Gavin Layton in a first period fall at 1:59. Bennett finished his dominating Senior season with a 46-3 record! Congratulations Wildcat Bennett Weber!


Congratulations to Max McEnelly (9th Grade) on his Class AAA STATE Championship Title in the #170 weight class! Max earned the State title by defeating Junior Gabe Nagel (Little Falls) in a overtime battle. Max finished his impressive freshman season with a 54-1 record! Congratulations Wildcat Max McEnelly!  

Wildcats advance to section championship with win over Mankato West in semifinals

With the bright lights of the late game upon us, Waconia prevailed against a very good Mankato West team 79-60, advancing to the section 2AAA title game next Thursday at Gustavus Adolphus College vs. undefeated Marshall. Stingy defense (especially in the first half) mixed with handling the press and making West pay for pressing on


Two Waconia Wildcat swimmers, David Sinclair (11th Grade) and Sam Sinclair (10th Grade) will represent the inaugural Waconia High School Boys Swim team by competing in the MSHSL Class AA State Boys Swim Championships!! These outstanding athletes earned their state tournament berths by finishing in the top of a very competitive Section 2AA meet! David
