The Waconia High School girls swim and dive team took to the road to face Wright County Conference opponent Orono. The Spartans of Orono won by a score of 97-89. Despite the loss the Wildcats had a number of positive moments in the meet. Sophomore Jerica Warrington leaves her name on the Orono record board as she broke an 8 year old pool record in the 100 back with a time of 1:00.16. The Wildcats also took first in all three relays. Freshman Jordyn Grotbo came to the pool ready to compete as she notched personal best times in three of her events. The Wildcats face Mound-Westonka-Holy Family in a home duel next week on Thursday, September 12.
